Roofs all across the state took quite the hit this winter with all the snow and hectic weather. Now that we are entering spring and the rainy season, we suggest checking out your roof and following a few maintenance steps.
- Curling Shingles – Check to see if your shingles have begun to curl. A curled or bubbled shingle will leave them weakened and more open to breaking off. Losing shingles leaves your roof vulnerable.
- Clear out Gutters – It is always a good idea to clean your gutters out either once or twice a year. A clogged and impaired gutter drain has the ability to cause structural damaged that can lead to leaking.
- Shingles are Missing – This much easier to spot. Often times after big storms, a homeowner may actually find shingles in the yard. This is big sign you may need roof repairs or replacements.
